Nokia C5 Mobile Phone Review With Video
Background Information & Look n’ Feel
The Nokia C5 is instantly recognizable as a Nokia. The phone is a candybar design with sleek lines and an elegant look and feel to it.
The phone has a standard screen and keypad, it has nice low profile buttons on the user interface and it has a stainless steel finish. The Nokia C5 dimensions are 112 x 46 x 12mm and it weighs only 89 grams. The phone will be available in a white and warm grey colour scheme.
Whilst most other manufacturers are churning out touchscreen mobile phones one has to question Nokia’s logic in bringing out a pretty basic block phone. While some may criticise Nokia, others might argue this is a smart move as Nokia are providing people with a good looking practical alternative to the touchscreen.

Hardware – Display, Keyboard, Battery, Communications, Memory, Connectors
The Nokia C5 is a basic mobile phone with no bells and whistles such as touch screen technology. The phone’s operating system uses Symbian S60 3rd Edition. Like many phones today it has YouTube, Flickr, Facebook, MySpace and instant messaging. The C5 also has Ovi Maps 3.0 with free navigation, GPS with A-GPS and push email.
In terms of networking the phone has a HSDPA speed of 10.2 Mbps, it has Edge, Bluetooth, WAP and USB 2.0. Although a basic phone this device has a relatively good built-in 3.2 megapixel camera which has 2048×1536 pixels, autofocus, LED flash, video (VGA@15fps), and a secondary video call camera.
The Nokia C5 is powered by a Li-Ion 860 mAh battery which will last just under 5 hours talk time on 3G, 12 hours on GSM and up to 28 days stand-by time. This should be sufficient for most business users.
Availability & Pricing
As this is a low end of the market phone it is likely to cost about £120 and should arrive in Q2 of 2010.
