The Samsung A697 Sunburst is a lightweight mobile phone that is easy to use and offers loads of fun apps and features to play with. The phone is a glossy block design that uses a touch screen to access a variety of menus and options, including a widget bar and three main menus. The phone’s dimensions are 101.0 x 52.8 x 13.0 mm and it only weighs 87.3 g with the battery.

The Samsung Sunburst uses a 3.0” Touch Wiz Touchscreen with a virtual, landscape QWERTY keyboard. The screen has an accelerometer sensor to allow the content to automatically rotate with the screen. This technology is used in existing Samsung devices and is standard to other phones on the market of this calibre.
The camera is only 2 Megapixel but it is quite versatile. As well as being able to take videos the camera comes with a 4x Digital Zoom and multi-shot. This means you can take a succession of consecutive photos [up to 9] by pressing and holding the Camera key.
To keep you entertained the phone comes with a load of games, and you can play both your audio and video files using the multi-format media player. The Samsung A697 also has: voice recognition, record audio, alarms, calendar, sketchpad, organiser, calculator, converter, world clock, timer and stop watch. The phone has 189MB of internal memory and can support up to 16GB on microSD card.
