Background Information & Look & Feel
The Samsung Monte Slider E2550 is another low end phone that has just been released with its sister phone the Samsung Monte Bar C3200. It’s not a bad little phone when you keep in mind that it is aimed at the bottom end of the market. If you are going to buy a Samsung Monte whatever you do make sure you don’t get the C3200 or the E2550 mixed up with the Monte S5620 Touchscreen mobile phone. Apart from the brand name “Monte” the S5620 is a world away from the other phones in terms of technology and probably price. As for looks, the E2550 mobile phone is not bad looking and it is quite small and lightweight (measures 98.5 x 48.5 x 14.0 mm and weighs 92 grams).

Hardware – Display, Keyboard, Battery, Communications, Memory, Connections, Multimedia
Out of all the Samsung Monte range this phone has the fewest specifications. This phone only has 2G (GSM 900 / GSM 1800), it comes with WAP, Bluetooth, and it supports USB 2.0 and Edge. To keep the youngsters interested the Samsung Monte Slider E2550 has an FM radio, social networking integration, MP3/WMA/eAAC+ player, MP4/H.263/H.264 player, and an organiser. What will not impress most people is the 1.3 megapixel camera.
The Monte Slider also has a 2.0″ 240 x 320 pixel display, a shared 12 Mb memory and the microSD (TransFlsh) can by expanded up to 8GB. The phone is powered by a 800 mAh Li-Ion battery that can provide up to 400 hours on standby and 7 hours of talktime.
Availability & Pricing
All in all this is another disappointing addition to the Samsung range, similar to the Shark range that came before it. As this phone has hardly nothing to offer it is likely going to have a good price offer and be available in the Samsung pay as you go range.
